MS (On going), BS in Civil Engineering
Imran Md Azizul Islam (How to pronounce?) is an MS student in Civil Engineering at the University of Minnesota. He is also working as a Graduate Research Assistant at UH-DMI research group.
His expertise lies in stormwater management, hydrologic modeling, hydraulic analysis, Spatio-temporal analysis and mapping with GIS, and construction inspection etc.
He is currently researching subsurface sewer pipe leakage in urban soil and how it can impact the overall hydrologic balance of an urban watershed and the project has been funded by the National Science Foundation.
Imran aspires to be a professional engineer working in a collaborative team environment and contributing to the design and development of sustainable and future-proof civil engineering solutions.
Additionally, Imran likes exploring new places indulging in new cultures and meeting new people around the world. He also likes singing, watching sports, computer programming and developing useful software.
