MS (On going), BS in Civil Engineering
Imran Md Azizul Islam (How to pronounce?) is an MS student in Civil Engineering at the University of Minnesota. He is also working as a Graduate Research Assistant at the UH-DMI research group.
His expertise lies in stormwater management, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, spatiotemporal analysis and mapping with GIS, and stormwater inspection.
He is currently researching subsurface sewer pipe leakage in urban soil and how it can impact the hydrologic balance of an urban watershed. This research is directly supported through a grant from National Science Foundation.
Imran aspires to be a professional engineer working in a collaborative team environment and contributing to the design and development of sustainable and future-proof water resource engineering solutions.
Additionally, Imran likes exploring new places, indulging in new cultures and meeting new people around the world. He also likes music, sports, and computer programming.
